Jars of Aged Ramon Allones Made Just For Spain

Collectors of glazed, ceramic cigar jars now have a new piece of pottery to pursue. Tabacalera S.L.U., Spain’s regional distributor of Cuban cigars, has just released the sixth edition of its Sevilla Series, a line of aged cigars presented in decorative ceramic jars. This year’s jar holds 19 Ramon Allones Specially Selected cigars, robustos that Tabacalera says have been aged for at least five years.
Made exclusively for the Spanish market, the cigars retail for 16 euros each (about $19) or 304 euros (about $360) per jar, which is a faithful replica of the cigar jars produced by Partagás and Ramon Allones in the mid 20th century. This entire run of only 2,000 jars was fired in the kilns of Andalusian manufacturer La Cartuja de Sevilla in Spain.
