E.P. Carrillo Releases Top 25 Trilogy Box Set
For those still searching for Cigar Aficionado’s No. 1 Cigar of 2020—or the other two E.P. Carrillo smokes that have performed splendidly on previous Top 25 lists—a special box set has begun shipping this week.
The E.P. Carrillo Trilogy sampler is a flight of three cigars, two of which have been named Cigar of the Year. The box set contains the Pledge Prequel (No. 1 Cigar of 2020), the Encore Majestic (No. 1 Cigar of 2018) and the La Historia E-III (No. 2 Cigar of 2014).
The Trilogy set has a suggested retail price of $36.
Lissette Perez-Carrillo, daughter of brand owner Cigars that win the Cigar of the Year accolade tend to be sold out on perpetual backorder.
All three cigars in the set were made at Perez-Carrillo’s La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic.
This week’s first shipment was limited to only 100 boxes but 1,000 more are scheduled to ship in two weeks. By June another 4,000 boxes are expected to reach retailers.
