Eleven years might seem like an odd anniversary to celebrate, but Room101 Big Payback Connecticut, giving it a new blend. Both releases are heading to retailers the second week of December.

“I’m grateful to have been a part of this beautiful community and culture for 11 years strong and I am looking forward to the next 11 and beyond,” Booth told Cigar Aficionado.

Limited to a production run of only 1,000 boxes of 20, the new cigar is covered in a maduro wrapper and made with only Nicaraguan tobacco. It’s a 6 inch by 54 ring gauge torpedo that’s set to retail for $10 per cigar.

While last year’s A.J. Fernandez, Booth is keeping the factory for the 11th Anniversary a secret.

If you’re a fan of thick cigars and Connecticut wrappers, The Big Payback Connecticut will also be arriving next month. Last year, Booth brought back the Maduro version after production was on five-year hiatus. Now, the Connecticut variety gets its second life as well.

Room101 The Big Payback Connecticut originally debuted in 2016 in three sizes and was made by Davidoff at the Camacho factory in Honduras. The release is produced in Nicaragua at the Joya de Nicaragua factory. Whereas the previous cigar had an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper with a Mexican binder and Dominican filler, the new version retains its Ecuador Connecticut wrapper but the rest of the tobacco is now Nicaraguan.

“This is a long-anticipated release for the Room101 family. We are honored to be working with Joya De Nicaragua to bring one of our strongest performing sub-brands back to market,” Booth said.

Room101 The Big Payback Connecticut comes in three thick sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 1/4 by 50; Toro, 6 by 54; and Gordo, 6 by 60. Prices will range from $6.50 to $7.50 per cigar.

All three sizes are packaged in both bundles of 20 and boxes of 40.
